Myanmar Updates
Friday, May 09, 2008
As what I understand, Myanmar’s junta will only accept relief in cash and in kind but no foreign aid workers are allowed. I have no idea what’s the reasons but I hope the food and other goods will be deliver to the victims soon because they needed it. The last time I’ve checked the death toll, it’s officially remains at nearly 23,000 with 42,199 people still missing. I will update you all about Myanmar next time.

I wrote a post about this too. What a terrible situation. I'm never for military intervention but it seems like this may be necessary here. People are dying. The help is available but because of the government not allowing the assistance to get to the people needing it, the aid has now been stopped. I pray that the junta comes to their senses soon.

This is a very terrible situation. The people should benefit from the government but if the government officials are deaf, the people will realy be miserable. The government should act fast and save more lives. But, as we know, they have different kind of government and very difficult to understand!
